Dawson Clark was presented the Greenwood Exchange Club Student of the Month award by Scholarship Chairperson Dr. Jim Phillips. Dawson was awarded this honor due to his community leadership and excellence in the classroom.
Dawson has scored 32 on his ACT and has a 4.53 GPA at Pillow. As a Pillow Academy Senior, Dawson has also been consistently on the Headmaster's List. He is a member of the Honor Society and is president of Mu Alpha Theta. He is a member of the Spanish Club, Lions Leadership Class, FCA Leader and is a cast member of this year's senior play. PA students have also elected Dawson to the Homecoming Court in his11th and 12th grade years. Dawson has also been an integral part of rejuvenating Pillow's newspaper, The Pony Express. Dawson has participated in football, soccer, basketball, tennis and track. He has volunteered at the Leflore County Animal Shelter, helped the Salvation Army as a bell-ringer, and participated in Relay for Life. Dawson is a member of North Greenwood Baptist Church where he has become a leader with youth projects. He also participates in Chrysalis, Operation Christmas Child, and Mission Trips including trips to New York City and Arlington, TX.
